Research

Over the years, The European Nature Trust has developed research projects supported by leading conservationists, universities and foundations dedicated to conservation and the environment.

Research and Restoration

TENT has contributed to and undertaken a broad mix of other research initiatives in Scotland. These initiatives have included mapping the distribution of the invasive American mink to aid their removal.

TENT also helped determine the role and effectiveness of wild boar rooting behaviour on the landscape of the Scottish Highlands with WildCRU – Oxford University.

TENT also funded the study of food plant structure in the Highlands to provide a higher carrying capacity for many species of wildlife, and provided the seed corn funding for riverside tree planting which has since grown into a four million pound project.

TENT is now looking for further research partners to collaborate with.

If you have a suggestion for a new study, or for more information about any of these projects please contact us.
