We were very pleased to sponsor, for the third year running, the annual Barnes Film Festival which took place 28th – 30th September.
Barnes Film Festival is an annual celebration of film which connects young filmmakers and film enthusiasts with industry professionals.
This year’s Festival was a fantastic and entertaining weekend jam-packed with screenings, Q&As, panel discussions, workshops, an open-air screening and film competitions, with leading figures from the film, documentary and animation industries.
The Festival began in 2016 and this was its largest to date, with over 1,500 people attending over the weekend.
– Open-air screening of ‘The Greatest Showman’
Highlights included a screening of ‘Whitney’, a biopic about the late Whitney Houston, an interview with legendary actress and political activist Vanessa Redgrave CBE, and an introduction to a screening of ‘Peter Pan’ from one of the lost boys, actor George Mackay.

We enjoyed interacting with hundreds of filmmakers and film lovers over the weekend, including at our sold-out screening of ‘Untamed Romania’, the 2018 documentary we co-produced which showcases the rich and stunning wildlife of Romania.

We have been delighted to support the Festival from its first year, and contribute to its growth, and the brilliant work it does to inspire young people about film.
Our friend Sam Cullis, the Festival Director, says “What’s exciting is that as Barnes Film Festival grows, so does its power to reach different audiences. The festival aims to inspire a new generation of filmmakers from all backgrounds.”
