Spain - Andalucia

Track Iberian lynx in Andalucia

Through our partnership with Steppes Travel, we offer guests tailor-made trips to Andalucia. In the stunning landscapes, guests will join ecologists and conservationists on the trail of the Iberian lynx, and build their understanding of efforts to protect the species. Guests will uncover the mysteries of rural Spain, exploring the region’s wildlife, food and culture.

The itinerary has been carefully curated by the wildlife travel team at Steppes Travel, in conjunction with wildlife and conservation experts at TENT.

Impact

TENT’s Conservation Journeys enable guests to travel consciously, and with purpose. Each of TENT’s trips to Andalucia includes a donation to CBD-Habitat Foundation – an organisation working to expand Spain’s populations of Iberian lynx. The organisation is monitoring the health of Iberian lynx populations, and participating in a nationwide captive breeding programme designed to seed new wild populations. Habitats are being improved, and threats to lynx survival – such as hunting and the loss of wild prey – are being mitigated.
