A crucial Marine Protected Area in Belize

As part of our efforts to foster a collaborative, global perspective on conservation, The European Nature Trust supports select grassroots environmental organisations in Belize, while internationally promoting one of the world’s most biodiverse countries as a leader in environmental protection. On the marine side, Belize’s extensive network of Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) work to preserve marine biodiversity, while supporting sustainable fisheries, and enhancing resilience to climate change impacts. We are partners with Turneffe Atoll Sustainability Association (TASA), the official co-managers of Turneffe Atoll Marine Reserve.
